Social Work department started its jorney with Narayanganj College in 2010 with ten students. Nargis Mursheda was the founder chairperson. Now, Mahmuda Khatun is the chairman in this department, Rojina Yasmin, Sharmin Sultana and Mahfuza Akhter is lecturer. There are almost 300 students at present time in Honours level.
Recently Social Work department arranged seminar which was based on "Carrier build up" and importance of English language. "Paedophilia" will be held on January 2020. Departmental magazine and English Language club is also under process.
As Field Work Practical is a mandatory subject at fourth year. It also helps students to improve their theoretical knowledge by performing more effective activities at social areas as like hospital, NGO, etc.
